Recieved an email from xxxxxxxx@x.xxxxxxxx.xxxxxx.xxx saying someone else filed my return this year under a different account. I am trying to file my taxes and really struggling with entering foreign income from my job abroad so that i recieve the foreign tax credit and am fairly disappointed with turbo tax's interview. It hyphens correctly for ein but not for federal id (two hyphens at different locations).

I entered my routing number and account number and turbotax recorded it as all x's and sent it to the irs. Turbotax automatically add hyphen for an entry that can either be ein or federal id. Since your browser does not support javascript, you must press the resume button once to proceed.
