I wondered if deleting the contents of it won't harm my computer. It was good to be in the habit of periodically deleting the temp files created in c:\\tmp by windows and other software, or else you'd risk filling up your fancy. The temp folder will open, ctrl+a to select all and ctrl+del to delete all files, some files and folders will give you issues (permission etc.) just skip and make sure to check the apply.
